AmericasMart arrival field guide

A smooth market day starts before you enter a showroom. The key choices are when to reach downtown, which AmericasMart building to use, and where your group will meet for the ride home.

October Atlanta Apparel is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6 through Friday, October 9, 2026. Official hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; First Finds closes at 2 p.m. Friday. Apparel exhibits are in AmericasMart Building 3 at 240 Peachtree Street NW.

Event and transportation details were checked September 30, 2026. Recheck the official event and transit pages before travel because schedules and access details can change.

Before departure: lock down the building and credentials

Night before

Save the destination, not just “AmericasMart”

For apparel, use Building 3 as the planning point. The official garage address is 75 John Portman Boulevard NW, with entrances on John Portman Boulevard and Baker Street. If a showroom appointment names another building or entrance, follow that appointment detail.

Before leaving

Carry the documents required for entry

Atlanta Apparel registration is for qualified buyers and industry attendees. The organizer says attendees should bring business credentials and a valid government-issued photo ID. Transportation does not replace registration or guarantee admission.

Group leader shortcut: send one message with the exact building, the first appointment time and the evening pickup plan. “Meet at AmericasMart” is too vague for a multi-building campus.

Arrival window: choose the mode by what you are carrying

MARTA from ATL Airport

Red and Gold rail lines connect ATL Airport with Peachtree Center without a normal transfer. MARTA lists a standard one-way fare of $2.50 per person. Peachtree Center serves the AmericasMart campus, but you still need to walk from the station to Building 3.

Partner-hotel shuttle

AmericasMart lists complimentary shuttles from participating hotels during markets. Confirm that your hotel is on the current event list, then ask the hotel or organizer for the pickup point and service window. Do not assume every downtown hotel participates.

Self-parking

Building 3 parking is at 75 John Portman Boulevard NW. The separate Building 2 garage is at 230 Ted Turner Drive NW and operates ticketlessly using the vehicle’s license plate. Event-specific validation rules can differ, so check the current market information before relying on complimentary parking.

Private car or executive ride

This can be useful when buyers travel together, arrive with sample cases, or need a direct connection from ATL or a hotel. Give the service the passenger count, baggage or garment bags, exact building and required arrival time. Use the Executive Limo page for the service overview.

Morning entry: leave a buffer you can use

60–90 min

For a flight arrival

Build the plan from the aircraft arrival, not the first showroom appointment. Allow for taxiing, baggage claim, terminal movement and the trip downtown. If colleagues land on different flights, use the team airport pickup guide to choose between one shared departure and separate rides.

30–45 min

For a downtown start

Leave room for traffic, parking or the walk from rail. A short map distance does not show the time needed to enter the correct building, show credentials and reach a showroom floor.

If you are also visiting the Georgia World Congress Center area, keep that plan separate. The GWCC transportation guide covers a different campus and arrival problem.

During the market: protect the return plan

Write down these four details before the first appointment

  • The building and public entrance where the group will finish.
  • A realistic ready time, not simply the posted 6 p.m. closing time.
  • Whether garment bags, samples or purchases will return with the group.
  • One phone number for the group leader.

If the day includes client meetings away from the market, provide the stops in order. The client transportation trip brief explains the useful details to send without turning the plan into a long worksheet.

Closing pickup: set a place that both sides can identify

Before 5 p.m.

Confirm the live plan

Downtown traffic and venue operations can change the practical curb. Confirm the legal pickup point with the chauffeur or driver instead of promising an unverified door or stopping area.

At close

Do not make the vehicle guess

Send the building, entrance or nearby cross street, group leader’s name and number of passengers. If the group splits, say who is traveling in each vehicle before anyone leaves the building.

Friday is different: First Finds is scheduled to close at 2 p.m. Friday even though the general published show hours run to 6 p.m. Match the pickup time to the part of the market you are actually attending.
