For an Atlanta pickup during the clock change, confirm the full date, pickup location and time—and say whether you mean before or after the clocks go back. “1:30 a.m. Atlanta time” is not enough when that hour happens twice.
The November 1, 2026 clock change has passed. Atlanta clocks moved from 2 a.m. back to 1 a.m. that Sunday. The dated examples below show how to distinguish the repeated hour. For a future trip, check the NIST daylight-saving rules for the applicable date before confirming your pickup.
Which 1:30 a.m. do you mean?
These are two different clock readings on the same Atlanta date:
- 1:30 a.m.Before the change
- Eastern Daylight Time
- 1:30 a.m.After the change
- Eastern Standard Time
They are an hour apart. Ask the car provider to confirm the intended occurrence in writing. Include the pickup address so there is no doubt about which city’s clock you mean.
If an online form offers only a date and time, contact the provider before relying on that entry. Do not assume the form selects the first or second occurrence. Once confirmed, pass the same wording to the passenger and anyone arranging the ride.
A pickup after midnight belongs to the new calendar date. For the overnight change from Saturday, October 31 into Sunday, November 1, use November 1 for a Sunday-morning pickup. “Saturday night” alone leaves the date unclear.
Check the calendar’s time zone before changing the booking
An assistant and a traveler may see different clock times for the same calendar event. Google Calendar’s time-zone guidance explains that events appear in each invitee’s local time zone.
For an Atlanta pickup, set the event to the time zone for Atlanta and check the displayed date. In Google Calendar on a computer, open the event editor and use Time zone beside the event time. Keep the confirmed pickup-city time in the event description too, especially when the hour repeats.
If the passenger’s calendar looks different, compare the selected zones before asking to move the car booking. Editing a calendar entry does not itself confirm a change with the transportation company. The assistant’s trip brief helps keep the arranger and passenger working from the same instructions.
Put a local time zone beside each end of a longer trip
Atlanta uses Eastern Time; Nashville uses Central Time. Groome’s ATL–BNA schedule labels those zones separately and states that its times are local.
Use that same clarity when requesting a private journey: identify the pickup city’s time and the destination appointment’s local time. For an overnight trip across the clock change, ask the provider to confirm the full timing rather than subtracting the two clock readings to estimate the drive.
A return pickup needs its own date, city and time zone. For a Nashville conference, keep those details alongside the entrance and return-location arrangements in our Music City Center travel guide.
Arrange the ride with the time made clear. For a long-distance car service enquiry, send ATL Limo the pickup address, full date, intended local time and destination. If the hour repeats, state before or after the change. Request a quote or call +1 (315) 381-4222.
