Business travel · Exhibit materials

Before adding exhibit materials to an Atlanta car booking, confirm that the transport company accepts the items and that your show allows you to bring them through the planned entrance. If the items need a loading dock, freight elevator or handling crew, arrange that part with the show before booking the passenger ride.
Get two answers before choosing the vehicle
From the car company: can these items travel with this passenger group? Send the number of cases, their packed dimensions and weight, plus the travelers’ own bags. A photo can help explain an unusual display case. Ask what loading help is included and whether the requested stop fits the booking.
From the show organizer or its appointed contractor: may you carry those items into the hall yourself? Explain whether you need a cart or dolly. Ask which entrance to use, when it is open for move-in, and whether a pass or paid handling service is required.
If the show uses a “POV” process for privately owned vehicles, ask whether a hired car is eligible and how it would check in. The label alone does not settle permission for your booking. Share the approved instructions with the transport company before confirming the trip.
Atlanta venues handle materials differently
Atlanta Market: a dolly changes the route inside
The Atlanta Market exhibitor FAQ permits hand-carried items on passenger elevators. Items that need a dolly must use freight elevators; floats and dollies are not allowed on passenger elevators or escalators.
The FAQ also describes loading-dock handling and fees for products brought by POV. Use your current exhibitor manual to confirm the process for your market. These are exhibitor instructions; buyers collecting purchases should ask their seller or market team for the applicable collection rules.
Cobb Convention Center: distinguish the hall from a ballroom
Cobb’s loading guidance sends exhibitors to the rear loading dock off Galleria Parkway or the Hall D roll-up doors at the east entrance, with authorization. Its separate ballroom guidance allows hand-carried materials through the rotunda or east entrance, but prohibits unloading in the covered rotunda area.
Confirm which rule applies to your event space. For team members arriving without exhibit materials, the Cobb Convention Center arrival guide covers the passenger trip.
GWCC: use the show’s delivery instructions
The Georgia World Congress Center says dock access, delivery windows and unloading procedures vary by event. Obtain the current instructions from the show’s general contractor or exhibitor manual before sending materials or directing a vehicle to a dock.
Keep the approved materials destination separate from the entrance used by your colleagues. The GWCC building and passenger drop-off guide helps with that passenger arrival.
Arrange the materials’ return before setting your pickup
If materials are being shipped, confirm who will collect them, the packing and label requirements, and the approved collection window with the show contractor. Keep that confirmation separate from your car reservation.
If approved items will leave with you, allow time to pack them and reach the agreed pickup point. Give the car company the return load as well as the outbound load. Ask about waiting or a changed pickup if move-out runs late, especially when the next stop is ATL.
For the passenger itinerary, explore ATL Limo’s executive transportation. Request a quote for your team’s ride and describe any items you hope to bring. Confirm their acceptance and the venue’s handling instructions before booking.
