Atlanta Event Transportation Guide
State Farm Arena is at 1 State Farm Drive in Downtown Atlanta, near Marietta Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive. The arena connects directly with the SEC District MARTA station, but the best arrival plan can be different from the best way home after thousands of guests leave at once.
Transportation details were checked September 25, 2026. Recheck the event time, parking availability and MARTA service before you leave.
Choose MARTA, parking or a private car
Choose MARTA when everyone can reach a rail station, the group can walk comfortably, and you want to avoid waiting in road traffic around the arena. The SEC District station is steps from the venue.
Drive and park when you need your own vehicle before or after the event. Reserve the space first. Searching for parking after you reach Downtown can cost time and may send you away from the entrance you expected to use.
Book a private car when a hotel pickup, several passengers, mobility needs, dinner plans or a late return makes door-to-door travel more important than the lowest fare. For a multi-stop evening, compare a vehicle kept by the hour with separate transfers using our whole-day chauffeur comparison.
How to take MARTA to State Farm Arena
From ATL Airport, take a northbound Red or Gold Line train to Five Points. Transfer to a westbound Blue Line train toward Hamilton E. Holmes or a Green Line train toward Bankhead. Exit at SEC District and use the escalator toward State Farm Arena.
MARTA lists a standard one-way fare of $2.50. A trip includes up to four free transfers within three hours when you use the same payment method. A return ride is a new fare; the transfer allowance does not cover a round trip.
After the event, the arena directs guests leaving Gates 2, 4 or 5 toward SEC District station. To travel south toward the airport, take an eastbound Blue or Green Line train to Five Points, then transfer to a southbound Red or Gold Line train.
Driving and parking near State Farm Arena
The arena advises guests to pre-purchase parking through ParkMobile. Reserve against the correct event and confirm the deck or lot before driving. Save the confirmation where you can open it without relying on weak mobile service.
State Farm Arena lists ADA spaces in the Sapphire Deck, Diamond Deck and Ruby Lot. Those spaces are limited and available on a first-come basis. If your party needs extra help between the vehicle and the entrance, contact the arena before the event instead of assuming every parking area offers the same route.
For an RV or bus, do not buy ordinary car parking and hope it fits. The arena asks bus and RV operators to contact its parking team so it can review accommodation near the venue or in a nearby staging area.
Where should your car meet you after the event?
Use a specific pickup instruction, not “outside the arena.” Agree on a street, building entrance or nearby hotel before the event, then confirm whether road controls require a change. The passenger and chauffeur should use the same place name and share a live phone number. The same rule matters for large outdoor events; see our Atlanta Pride 2026 transportation guide for Piedmont Park gates, MARTA stations and parade-day planning.
The arena tells rideshare users to request a ride after the event. That means the app may assign the actual pickup point based on current conditions. For a prebooked car, ask how the meeting point will be confirmed and what to do if police or event staff close the planned curb. The two official pickup-zone layouts are explained in our Mercedes-Benz Stadium transportation guide.
Do not make the chauffeur guess when to enter the busiest streets. Share the event name and expected finish time, then send a message when the group is together and moving toward the agreed point. If guests are seated in different sections, choose one indoor meeting landmark before anyone exits.
Planning a hotel or airport trip for a group
Start with the full pickup address, passenger count and event start time. A Downtown hotel may be walkable for some guests, while a Buckhead or airport hotel creates a separate road or rail trip. Tell every passenger whether the vehicle leaves at a fixed time or waits for the whole group.
If coworkers land at ATL on different flights, compare one later group departure with smaller pickup waves. Our guide to team pickups for staggered ATL arrivals explains how to use ready times instead of scheduled landing times.
For chauffeur service in Atlanta, send ATL Limo the event, pickup address, passenger count, planned stops and return plan. If the group will split after the event, include both destinations before requesting the quote.
