Atlanta Event Travel Guide
The festival and parade do not use the same arrival point. The festival is inside Piedmont Park. The Sunday parade begins at Civic Center MARTA, travels through Midtown and finishes near the Charles Allen Gate. Choose transport around the part you plan to attend.

Atlanta Pride 2026 dates and locations
The Atlanta Pride Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Piedmont Park. The festival is free and open to the public. The official festival FAQ says the 2026 digital map will be released before the event, so use that map for stage, gate and activity locations.
The Sunday parade is scheduled to step off at noon from Civic Center MARTA Station. Its traditional route follows Peachtree Street, turns onto 10th Street and ends near the Charles Allen Gate. If you only want the parade, you may not need to travel all the way to the park before it starts.
| Your plan | Most useful arrival point | Return plan |
|---|---|---|
| Festival inside Piedmont Park | Midtown or Arts Center MARTA; a confirmed park entrance; or the park garage | Leave through a gate that matches your train, parked car or pickup address |
| Watch the parade start | Civic Center MARTA area | Use Civic Center after the parade passes, or walk toward your next destination |
| Watch near the parade finish | 10th Street or Charles Allen Gate area | Expect the busiest pedestrian movement near the park entrance |
Taking MARTA to Piedmont Park
Midtown Station is the closest rail station for the Charles Allen and 10th Street side of the park. From Midtown Station, walk east along 10th Street toward Piedmont Avenue. Arts Center Station is useful for the park’s northern side; walk south on West Peachtree Street, then east on 14th Street.
The Piedmont Park directions page lists both stations and the walking routes. Check MARTA service alerts before leaving home and again before the return trip. A station can be operating while a specific entrance, escalator or train schedule has changed.
For the Sunday parade start, Civic Center Station is the direct rail stop. If you plan to follow the parade toward Piedmont Park, remember that the finish is not beside Civic Center; your return station may be Midtown rather than the station where you arrived.
Driving and parking at Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park shares a cashless parking garage with the Atlanta Botanical Garden at 1322 Monroe Drive NE. The park is reached from the garage’s lowest level. The first 30 minutes are normally free, and the remaining charge is based on time.
Do not treat the garage address as a guaranteed festival parking space. A major event can fill nearby parking early. Check the park’s current directions and alerts before driving, and choose a second plan before you leave.
If you park away from the park, check the full walking route—not only the straight-line distance. Your return may be after dark and through a large crowd. Save the garage name, level and exact location before walking away from the vehicle.
Plan Sunday around the parade route
The official parade page lists a noon start at Civic Center MARTA and a finish near the Charles Allen Gate. Streets on or near the route may not work like a normal Sunday. Do not arrange a curb pickup on the parade route without checking the final 2026 map and any City of Atlanta restrictions.
If you are watching near the start, use Civic Center Station or a meeting address several blocks from the assembly area. If you are watching near the finish, Midtown Station is usually the simpler rail choice. For a car pickup, select a named hotel, garage or legal curb location that both the passenger and driver can reach without crossing a closed street.
Share a screenshot or pin of the meeting point with everyone in the group. “Pick us up at Piedmont Park” is not precise enough because the park has several entrances and the parade ends at one of its busiest gates.
Plan the ride home before the event
Mobile service can slow when a large crowd leaves at once. Save the driver’s number, vehicle details and meeting address before entering the park. If your group separates, choose one gate and one backup location.
Set the pickup time around the program you actually want to see. A vehicle cannot wait indefinitely at a busy curb. If your departure time is uncertain, compare a scheduled transfer with hourly chauffeur service versus separate rides.
For visitors arriving through ATL, do not schedule the park pickup from flight landing time. Allow time to leave the aircraft, collect bags and reach the agreed airport meeting point. Our airport-to-Downtown guide explains the main options before continuing to Midtown.
Private transportation for a Pride group
A private vehicle can help when friends are staying at one hotel, traveling with event materials, or returning together after the program. The important decision is not simply vehicle size. Decide whether everyone can meet at one time and one legal pickup address.
For Atlanta chauffeur service, send the event date, hotel or starting address, passenger count, planned park entrance, preferred departure time and a backup meeting point. Ask for the trip-specific quote before confirming the group’s share.
